WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER MOISTURIZERS?
It’s made with just a few high-quality ingredients and no fillers, using whole-animal tallow that closely mimics the skin’s natural oils.
WILL IT CLOG MY PORES?
No. Tallow is non-comedogenic and easily absorbed, helping balance skin rather than suffocate it.
IS THIS GOOD FOR ECZEMA OR DRY PATCHES?
Yes. Many customers find relief from eczema, psoriasis, and dry, irritated skin thanks to tallow’s deeply moisturizing and healing properties.
HOW SHOULD I STORE IT?

Sun Butter
IS IT AN SPF?
No, Sun Butter does not carry an official SPF rating. To receive that label, we’d be required to add synthetic stabilizers and preservatives—ingredients we choose to avoid.
Instead, we use non-nano zinc oxide, the same active mineral filter found in many SPF-rated sunscreens, without any of the unnecessary chemicals.
Sun Butter is equivalent in strength to industry standard SPF30 products.
WILL IT LEAVE A WHITE CAST?
Very minimal, thanks to our tallow base. Unlike most mineral sunscreens, Sun Butter blends in smoothly and leaves a dewy, natural finish with a warm tint—not a chalky film.
IS IT REEF SAFE?
Yes. Sun Butter is free from chemical UV filters like oxybenzone and octinoxate, which are known to harm marine life. Our formula is 100% reef-safe and ocean-friendly.
CAN I USE IT EVERY DAY?
Absolutely. Sun Butter is designed for daily use as both a moisturizer and a sun protectant. Gentle enough for sensitive skin, effective enough for real sun exposure.
IS IT WATER-RESISTANT?
Somewhat, thanks to its rich, balm-like texture. However, we recommend reapplying after swimming, sweating, or towel drying to ensure continued protection.
